Brap! - At Ease, Wenches!

A couple of months ago, we received an e-mail from electronic artist Brap! explaining the upcoming release of his new EP, "At Ease, Wenches". Released digitally about a month ago, this fifteen-minute swan-dive into off the wall melodies and tearing synthesizers calls for some of the most authentic and original sounds that we've heard in a while.  A vastly different take on typical electro, Brap! explores elements of house and industrial, intertwining the two with some pretty mean beats and grooves.

Brap! mentioned he'd been a long-time fan of Captain Captain Industries.  It's great to know that we can help feature some of today's innovative producers, but even greater to know that these same people have stuck around to see and hear the vast array of artists we feature on a regular basis.  Major thanks to Brap! for sending this our direction.

C.C.I. sits down with young-gun producer, Tylias.

In our quest to expand and conquer the vast lands of the Facebook community, we ran into fourteen-year-old Jacob Williams, a producer from Lake Elsinore, CA. Williams, also known by his producer-moniker Tylias, started his musicianship in 2008. When he reflected on his past productions, (alternative rock/hip-hop mixtapes) Tylias self-admittedly suggested that they "[weren't] that great".

After three years of experimenting and rediscovering his musical roots, Tylias released the eleven-track album, "My Name is Tylias". Comprising of electro, dubstep, and traces of drum 'n bass, Tylias' debut album caught his fans attention, specifically with the single "Digital Heart". Under self-analysis, Williams went on to mention that "[My Name is Tylias] was my very first attempt at doing anything rave-ish or what people call 'dubstep' or 'electro'... and I think I did a good job." Earlier this month, Tylias stated that he had plans to release an EP that will contain elements of rock, hip-hop, electro and dubstep influences. "I'm putting all of my effort into it, the fans will dig it, and so will anyone out there ... I want to make music everybody loves ... I hate genre battles."

The EP is set to make it's release in late January or early February.

Tylias will post singles, tracks, links and videos promoting his releases on his Facebook Page.

C.C.I. Introduces: Electronic-mastermind, Downlow'd

During this past week, we've received quite a handful of electronic-influenced submissions via our FaceBook page. For the next week or so, we'll be featuring some of the digital-talents that have hopped on board the Captain Captain Industries fan-base.

First off, a huge thank-you to Downlow'd for joining our Page and for sharing some of the most berserk dubstep, drumstep and electro-house that we've ever come across. Representing Macro Records, Downlow'd brings a bass-heavy rhythm that we just can't get enough of. With a catalog consisting of stellar remixes (Florence the Machine, LMFAO) and club-anthem originals ("Power Up", and the Hugs&Drugs inspired "Show Girl"), Downlow'd is a moving force that can't be missed.

Get a taste of Downlow'd by checking out the tracks below, and remember to Follow Downlow'd on his official SoundCloud profile, the official MySpace profile, his Twitter feed, and his slick Tumblr account.

C.C.I. Meets Some 'Data Junkies'

Another long night, another long session on turntable.fm. This time, we met up with a Seattle-based electro/house/dub aficionado, who showed me his project, Data Junkies. We then heard an array of wobble-heavy originals, refixes, and a couple of house favorites. Representing 7Deadly Records, Data J. combine bass-heavy riffs that glide along the border between glitch and the best in modern dubstep. We're always open to extending our connections to the electronic-based community here. Get a taste for some of the digital madness by checking out Data Junkies' official SoundCloud profile, and find 'em on FaceBook here.
